Education is an integral part of our lives. We all seek education in one form or another, and at different levels. The importance of education cannot be stressed enough. Education is knowledge gained and knowledge is power. Education gives us a knowledge of the world around us and changes it into something better. The influence of special education focuses on individualized directions and teaching. Special education has gone from just identifying individuals with disabilities and showing them to the life of schools and interaction with their peers. Today, special education is focused on inclusion and specialized education that meet the needs of individuals whom are physically or mentally disabled. Schools and instruction must be tailored and ordered to meet the variable needs of individual learners. Introduction Over the past decades, the number of students with disabilities being served in the general education classrooms have increases tremendously. One of the major reasons for this enormous increase is due to the adaption of federal laws regarding the education of students with special needs.
